Thank you for the opportunity to pamper your pup. At Lux Pup Grooming, I do my best to make the appointment as joyful and stress free as possible, not just for your dog, but for you as well. Please read the following carefully.

Pawlicies & Procedures

   1. Appointment Scheduling:

 You can call, text, email, or use messenger to schedule an appointment. You will receive a reminder text or email about your appointment. You MUST send a confirmation reply. Not confirming within 24 hours of your appointment may result in your appointment being canceled and replaced with another client on the waiting list.

  

   2. Health and Safety:

I care about your pets safety and well-being, and I want to assure you that every effort will be made to make your pet’s visit as pleasant as possible. If your pet is known to be aggressive, I do have muzzle options and request your permission to use them. They will ONLY be used after repeated biting offenses occur AND you are notified. If you wish for me not to use a muzzle, I will proceed with as much of the grooming (in the dogs comfort) that I possibly can. Anxiety, age, and health issues will also result in what I call a “comfort groom.”

*Occasionally grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one.  This can occur during or after grooming. In the best interest of your pet, I request your permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment, should it be necessary. 

  

   3. Grooming Process:

During the grooming, I will assess your dog's health, watching for any signs of illness or discomfort and report them to you. We will discuss beforehand the type of service you are requesting for your appointment. I will have a list of all bathing products used listed on my website. If you have any concerns or special requests, we will need to discuss those before the appointment begins.

   4. Payment and Pricing:

I accept cash, credit, and debit cards at this time. I currently use Square, which accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or Union Pay International Logo. Square also supports mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.

Tips and gratuities are not required, but greatly appreciated. 

 

   5. Arrival and Departure Procedures:

During home groomings, I will need access to a sink/tub, and an area to setup a grooming table. It can be in a garage, large bathroom, utility room, or extra space. I will groom outside (weather permitting) on a back deck or patio.

I will need a driveway, allowed curbside, or approved parking lot to park my grooming vehicle. 

An owner MUST be present for hand-off and to receive the dog, for the appointment.

 

   6. Early/Late Arrivals and No-Shows:

It is possible for me to arrive 10-15 minutes early in which I will message to see if the dog is ready and available. If not, I will wait for the scheduled appointment time.

I will wait for 20 minutes after the set appointment time, until I mark the appointment as a cancellation. There is a $20 fee for no show appointments. 

 

   7. Termination of Services:

Termination of services may be possible due to repeated appointment no shows, safety concerns for the dog or myself, and policy non-adherence.

   8. Customer Consent:

  • I request your permission to post photos and/or information related to your pet's experience at Lux Pup Grooming. 

  • I request your permission to use proper restraints for the health and safety of your pet during the grooming appointment. 

  • I request your permission to obtain emergency veterinary treatment for your pet, if needed.
